CAREWare Business Tier minimum requirements for a basic installation:

1.4 GHz 64-bit processor

1 GB hard drive space

2 GB RAM

.NET Framework 4.8

10 Mbps network bandwidth

If the server can run SQL 2017 Standard , it can run the CAREWare Business Tier.

If there are more than 50 users, adding 4 GB of RAM above the requirements for SQL and Windows on the business tier server is recommended. A 1.4 GHz single-core processor is sufficient to run CAREWare, though if there are many users, 2 GHz or more processing power may be necessary. SQL has several settings to take advantage of multi-core processors, so the more the better.

CAREWare requires little hard drive space. Less than 1 GB needs to be added beyond the requirements for SQL and Windows, unless the users store attachments in the business tier folder. Backup files can also drive up hard drive space, so having enough room on the server for backups, having a protocol for managing backup space, or setting CAREWare or SQL to store backups on a separate drive are important.

CAREWare 6 is compatible with the latest versions of Windows Server and SQL Server.
