To turn off the client encryption:
 

1. Go to C:\Program Files\CAREWare Business Tier.
2. Right click CW Admin.
3. Click Run as Administrator.
4. Click Stop Server.
5. In the top right, click LocalNumberStorage under TableName.
6. Click EncryptPIIFields.
7. Click Edit.
8. Under Setting change the value to 0.
9. Click Start Server.

If the entry for EncryptPIIFields is not on the list:
 

1. Double check that you have LocalNumberStorage selected.
2. Click Add.
3. In the Tag box enter EncryptPIIFields.
4. In the Setting box enter 0.
5. Click Save.
6. Click Start Server.

Note: The CAREWare Business Tier service needs to be stopped to modify these settings.

Note: This is a security feature. Disabling PII encryption sets DQL to display PII information on the cw_client and the cw_map_client_provider tables.
