Regimen Setup

Data entry for common ART combinations is simplified with CAREWare regimens. Providers set up the regimens based on their specific prescribing practices. The feature is also used to add Genvoya and other tenofovir medications. Regimens are unique to each provider domain and configured within the provider or Central Administration.

How to Set Up a Medication Regimen

1. Click on Administrative Options in the left menu.

2. Click on Clinical Setup.

3. Click on Medication Management.

 

4. Click on Regimen Setup.

5. Click on Add.

 

View: View name, line, and active status of regimen.

Add: Add medication regimen.

Edit: Edit existing medication regimen name, line, and active status.

Delete: Delete regimen.

Medications: Edit regimen medications.

Activate/Deactivate: Active and deactivate regimen. Regimens must be active to be available in client records.

Back: Return to the Medication Management menu.

Print or Export: Print or export the list of regimens. This does not include the medication names.

Hide/Show Columns: Select the columns to show in the regimen list.

 

6. Complete the field for Regimen Name.

 

7. Select the Regimen Line from the dropdown list.

8. Click Save.

By default, the regimen saves in active status and without medications.

 

9. Highlight the regimen name and click on Medications.

10. Click Add.

View: View regimen medication.

Add: Add regimen medication.

Edit: Edit regimen medication.

Delete: Delete regimen medication.

Back: Return to the list of regimens.

Print or Export: Print or export the list of medications in the regimen.

Hide/Show Columns: Select the columns to show in the regimen medication list.

 

11. Select the medication name from the dropdown list and complete the fields for Units, Strength, Form, Frequency, and Indication. Option and Instructions are optional.

12. Click Save.

13. Repeat steps 10 through 12 for each medication in the regimen.

14. Click Back.

15. Verify that the regimen is set to active.

If the Active column is blank, select the regimen and click on Activate/Deactivate.
