User can change their passwords, set up security questions and change their user information under My Settings in the main menu when they log into CAREWare.
Login Password
1. Click on Login Password.
2. Enter the current password.
3. Enter the new password under New Password and Repeat Password.
4. Click Save.
A message is shown if the current password is incorrect. Enter the correct password. If a user is not certain of the current password, the CAREWare Administrator can reset the password.
A message is shown if the entry under New Password doesn’t match the entry under Repeat Password. The user should retype the new password in both fields and click Save.
Security Questions
If security questions are enabled in CAREWare, users must set up their questions and responses before accessing client records.
1. Click on Security Questions.
2. Click Edit.
3. Chose a question from the Question 1 pull down menu
4. Provide the answer to the selected question.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the remaining question pull down menu.
6. Click Save.
Users may need to reestablish their security questions if:
- The CAREWare password is reset
- The user account is unlocked
- The two factor authentication is reset
- The Password Reset Manager has been enabled
- The account is unlocked with a password reset token from an email
User Info
Users can update their contact information from the My Settings menu.
NOTE: Users cannot change their CAREWare username/login ID. Only CAREWare Administrators are able to change usernames/login IDs.
1. Click User Info.
2. Click Edit.
3. Update the user information.
4. Click Save.
