The System Information feature of CAREWare provides users with information about the build number, connected users, active sessions, and CAREWare sponsors. System information in Central Administration provides CAREWare Administrators with additional options.
Click on System Information in the main menu to access the feature.
How to Find the Build Number in CAREWare
The build number for CAREWare helps with troubleshooting some issues, as well as confirming upgrades and other tasks. The CAREWare Help Desk may request the build number from users.
Click on System Info Details.
The build number is noted in the RW CAREWare Business Version.
System Info Details also includes:
- Total number of clients in the CAREWare database across all domains
- User activity timeout setting
- Copyright
- Data Tier Setup
- Link to the CAREWare Version History
Connected Users
CAREWare Administrators and users can access a list of connected users through the System Information feature.
The list shows the username and domain.
The list includes users across all domains when accessed through Central Administration.
The Disconnect option allows CAREWare administrators to select a connected user and immediately disconnect (i.e., end) the user’s session.
Active Sessions
Active Sessions under System Information is similar to Active Users, yet the list includes more details about each session.
Users can view a flag for Is Session, username, provider domain, IP address, and session start time.
Users have options to end the session of a particular user or end all user sessions.
End Session: End the session of a selected user.
End All: End all connected sessions.
Back: Return to the System Information menu.
Print or Export: Print or export the list of sessions.
Hide/Show Columns: Choose the columns to view/hide in the list.

- Copyright information
- Sponsors
- Link to information about the CAREWare Help Desk
- Link to the End User License Agreement
System Information in Central Administration
CAREWare Administrators have access to additional options under System Information in the Central Administration domain.
Reindex Database and Advanced Indexing Options: These options may help improve CAREWare performance and resolve timeout issues.
Bulletin Message: Change the content of the bulletin message displayed in the main menu.
Application Notification Settings: Change the color, text, font size, banner height, and saturation of the application notification.
