Screenings

Clinical screening data, such as smoking, pregnancy, colposcopy, and TST, are tracked in the client-level screenings in CAREWare. The data is used for Clinical Quality Management and other Ryan White requirements. Screenings may also be used for the Client Summary and Provider Summary in CAREWare.

Standard and Custom Screenings in CAREWare

The most common clinical screenings are built into CAREWare, including:

  • Colposcopy
  • Geno/Pheno Typing
  • Adolescent History of Sexual Activity
  • Hysterectomy (Non-dysplasia/Non-Malignant Indications)
  • Pap Smear
  • PCP Prophylaxis
  • Pelvic Exam
  • Pregnancy Status
  • Rectal Pap Smear
  • Smoking Status
  • TB Chest Radiograph
  • TST

Provider-specific and custom labs are added in Screenings Setup under Administrative Options > Clinical Setup.

How to Add Screenings to a Client Record

1. Click on Screenings in the left menu of the client record.

2. Click Add.

View: View details of an existing screening record.

Add: Add a new screening record.

Delete: Delete an existing screening record.

HL7 Source: View the HL7 holding tank record of a screening entry.

Back: Return to the Client Summary.

Help: Access the user guide for screenings.

Print or Export: Print or export a list of screening records.

Hide/Show Columns: Select the columns for the list of screening records.

 

3. Enter the date of the screening.

 

 

4. Select the screening from the dropdown list. Shorten the dropdown list by entering the first letters of the name of the screening.

 

 

5. Complete the Result and Action. Test Score and Comment are optional.

 

 

6. Click Save.

 

 

 

Tip

Use Save and Add to enter multiple screenings in the client record.

 

 

Use CAREWare Imports for Screenings

Add screening records in bulk using the Provider Data Import feature in CAREWare.
